Please tell me in what way this game is related to EQ at all, besides the word being in it's title? Fuck they callin it EQnext for if its nothing like the original?

You were truly delusional if you believed that an mmo made in today's day and age would be made exclusively for the hardcore audience who wanted an EQ1 style game. That's a horrible investment for a company nowadays.

I, as much as anyone else on these forums, would love to see a modern day mmo made only for the hardcore players, such as an EQ1 with updated graphics.

Lets face it, that will never happen.. Casuals, run the mmo industry, we have to accept that.

All you have to do is look at this server and see that we are a select few people in the whole world that is into "Classic" EQ. What, there is like 2 to 3k people on here tops?? I for one would love to build a new game which maintains the core fundamentals this game boasts.

Would be cool if a few members of the P99 community would maybe form a small indie dev team, I for one am a web developer and I've worked on a couple of indie games as a programmer which are soon to be released on steam.
