Any EQish games out lately with epic PvP?
A few games I'm watching:
* Black Dessert Online (told too grindy) * Bless (Azn only, but coming to the west soon) * Dark & Light - apparently early access now. * Albion is mentioned a few times here, but overhead playdough gfx is a turnoff. Mentally and sexually. Anyone know anything?

if you want real pvp arena stuff try battlerite. It's a predecessor of a game called bloodlines , it's more closely related to wow arena and has a steep learning curve.

Not EQish, but...Quake Live. 100% PvP, no fucking around, no plugging / dodging PvP. Everyone is there to PvP and is PvP'ing 100% of the time.
It's also arguably the most skill-dependent PvP game in the world. It also doesn't matter how many hours / weeks / years you invested in farming gear or twinking. There's no farming or twinking. Just PvP. Very little, if any, cheating going on. There's no point in cheating as it's immediately obvious and people just won't play with you. Besides, cheating in a skill-based PvP game is admitting your lack of skill. It's really a game that separates men from boys. Interestingly, it was first released only a few months after Everquest, in 1999. Thrill-wise, an intense, close duel is no less engaging than EQ PvP really.

Historical Battle Re-enactment has some interesting team PVP dynamics, but if you want something with an eq-like skin you could try Live Action Role Play. Word to the wise: that tends to be less guild and more group focused.
The great thing about LARP PvP, is like Path of Exile, you can choose hardcore league. If you die you die, but if you gain enough notoriety for player killing you can win IRL accommodation for the rest of your life, which is pretty cool.

Always loved DAoC PvP. Don't know how Uthgard is doing. Game is old but server is new. It's about as PvP focused EQlike as you can get imho.
