lack of competent leadership for an opposition force left things 1 sided.
Lite/Jibekken really torpedo'd any legit opposition efforts leading into velious Empire succeeded as a guild. Every other group of players on the server was a failed in a major way . The incompetent opposition is the reason why people says this server sucks, not empire. next | ||

Three ingredients for success in everquest endgame:
time, charisma, and basic intelligence. The opposition can not muster these things.

Hopefully in six months from now the gear advantage will be enough for Empire to win a fight against a couple of friends in Kunark rags.

Once this server runs its course and everyone quits the only difference will be your character on the dead server will have more gear then my character on the dead server. Hopefully you'll have had fun between now and then creating enjoyable memories because after all this is a game not a job.

1.) charisma - keeping your guildmates playing under your tag not because they are pixel hungry, but because they genuinely enjoy playing with those individuals. These characteristics are very common in the VZTZ crowd as they typically travel as a pack. 2.) time - succeeding in end game everquest means devoting many, many hours of playtime as a leader. This is managed and delegated better by the gongshow/colgate combination. if you are the single leader, you better be on 12 hours a day or the horde will disperse without the inspiring presence of the leader. This was my achilles heel when Nihilium was strong, Rexx and myself led Heresy and neither could commit to a good schedule of game hours like we used to. Heresy dispersed pretty rapidly after a few weeks of raiding and leveling. 3.)basic intelligence- If you don't know how to beat mobs or coordinate people at all, you're going to have a bad time. And if you don't know how to delegate tasks to different officers and keep the herd in line, you are also, going to have a bad time. You can say that Empire has nothing going for it but warm bodies, but the reason the opposition hasn't built a force to defeat them is because they lack the discipline of the previous three requirements I stated. There is more than enough sub 60 players, and actually for probably half a year or more the ability to muster a large force is at the fingers of the neckbeard folks who are not in empire. If you are clocking 8+ hours, and you are not in empire, evaluate why you have failed to create your own empire.
