I might be completely wrong here, but I have a vague memory of being able to tell EQ to run a set of commands when I logged a character in. I used to use it to do a '/w all guild' and log into the server-wide rangers channel, I think. We're talking about a decade ago and maybe I just had it bound to an in-game macro button, but I thought I'd ask in case I was not just losing my marbles...

You could automatically join channels whenever you logged in. I have no idea when this was implemented. Command was /autojoin Channel1, Channel2, ...
You only needed to type the command once and then it would join those channels whenever you logged in. If at any time you wanted to change them all you had to do was type the command again and the previous list would be deleted and the new list would take its place. | ||
