Default Keyboard Commands Suddenly Work Intermittently

So I have been running EQ on some home machines for a little over a year now, with little trouble.

However, over the past few days, once I login and begin playing, I find that some of my keyboard commands work, and others suddenly do not. What is strange is that sometimes it's only a few commands that stop working, then it may get progressively worse so that none work, and then they may suddenly start working again.

I have found that zoning or camping and re-entering the game will resolve the issue, until it returns again shortly.

I haven't made any recent changes to the machine I play on, that I am aware of, in regards to Windows 7, drivers, etc.. Also, I have not made any recent changes to any of my EQ files.

The issue is happening on one laptop I use in my garage, which is a cold environment, but this is not about keys sticking or machine performance. EQ keyboard commands are the only thing affected, and they come and go randomly.

I have not tried EQ on my other machines in the house since this started happening a few days ago, and it is happening within minutes of logging in each time now.

So I am just curious if anyone has ran across this before, and if so, is it operator error (something I'm doing by mistake with game windows, etc.) or something going on with the game or my game files? Or maybe something else entirely?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I know u said 'not stuck keys " but try a diff keyboard to test probably easiest/quickest.
Maybe something still booting up in background lagging u out? just tryin to help...

Hey Whirled thanks for your post.

It is a laptop, but we have had extreme cold here lately with the Jet Stream dipping down.

And your suggestion is good troubleshooting. I'll plug in a usb keyboard to the laptop tonight to see if it corrects the issue.

I just found it strange that zoning, or camp and a re-login corrects the issue.
