Default Should I reroll?

Hey Folks,

I just got started in Project 1999 a couple days ago. I started a High Elf Cleric. I am level 14 now. Unfortunately when I started I wasn't thinking about my strength being so low. I am thinking about it now though! With only 60 strength I find myself always encumbered, and it is getting a bit obnoxious. Would it be worth me rerolling and losing a couple days worth of work to start a race that has some actual strength?

one thing high elf clerics have over a few others such as dwarf and halfling is that they can wear robes. not sure exactly how many but the VP robe is one of them. also having high CHA will help with pacify should you choose to roll the dice.

I can't count the pacify crit failures on my dark elf cleric... every time I feel like the server OWES me a success hit, and boom, another crit fail - incoming 4!

Only other cleric race worth rolling is Dark Elf so you can have the snare clicky.

Not really worthwhile, how often do you find a cleric in a full group (90% of the time in a full group) and having to be the one doing the calming? Not often in my case. I guess I feel bad for the dwarves out there [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

keep with the high elf if you want an easier time with your wisdom stat being high. Eventually your weight will get a little bit better, and then it won't really matter. Dwarf clerics can look pretty cool though!

You can channel yelp spells while running. Bard clerics!

From my experience I wouldn't re-roll personally. I am dwarf, and love the barrel roll and how we will look come Velious, however not being able to wear dem robes right now makes me sad.

I am in a similar position with a DE and rather than start a new thread about cleric race, I wondered if we could discuss this in relation to upcoming Velious as well as the recent patches in the past year.

A) Halfling/DE is no longer as worth while due to hide/sneak mechanics changes.
B) Come Velious, High Elf, Human and Erudite become much better at being clerics than they are now.
C) Erudite cultural gear, for example is somewhat confusing because Quellious seems like the obvious choice for +wis, however some Prexus pieces feel more cleric oriented.
D) Also read somewhere that Erudites can mix match different diety aligned pieces. Is this a bug?

Initiate Symbol of Tunare (mana free root clicky) makes the lack of str worthwhile in the long run!

Only other cleric race worth rolling is Dark Elf so you can have the snare clicky.

Stats won't matter in the long run (gear will easily compensate).
Are you sure about it being the Initiate? Isn't it the Warden symbol?
