Best oldschool lamers

Yoyoyo guys this is a thread where I wanna talk about something different than the TMO/FE debacle and discuss some more gems from back in the day on live. Specifically I wanna know what kinda good lamers/rnf shit went down way back when.

Best one I can remember is when I was in a small guild on the 7th hammer, I was chatting with this one dude who was another small guilds leader and he seemed pretty cool. One day however he was all mopey and shit, I asked him what was wrong and apparently his wife was banging some other guy on the server, which initially of course I was kinda like wtf but when he told me his name, I KNEW HIM!!! The guy banging his wife was actually a pretty chill guy and was wondering what the hell must have gone on, but I figured I'd rather not get into the middle of any crap on the internet of that level.

Best part is when he posted to 7thhammer.net in our flame board calling him out and the guy was just shrugging it off as he continued to berate him, eventually the post blew up so much the mods put the thread into the locked flames (village idiots convention, had so much entertainment) But yeah entertaining back in the day.

So yeah guys lets hear some old school rage/flames/whateverthefuck

Uh, guildleader's girlfriend on live sent nude pics to someone and it got around to like the whole server. Well, not me because I'm not interested in nude chicks, but yeah. No common sense I guess!

My RL friend scammed a fungi tunic from a 13 year old girl who was playing her parents' character back on classicish Prexus.

I remember getting scammed as a 13 year old girl, I cried over it too. lol

That reminds me! My best friends brother and his pal used to be huge scammers during kunark/velious. If anyone remembers the name Midion on 7th, he used to be the fella who used to go around to people saying how "amazing that armor must look on my character, if I could only try it on ;(" and people used to give him all manner of gear, like noc blades, iksar regen bps, and FBSS's. I remember talking to him about it long afterwards and all he said about it back in the day it was all about bring personable, thoroughly remembering "If you can get them to laugh, you know you have them". Keep in mind around this time I was 11 or 12 and he was around 16-17.

Best part about it was when I got Luclin and the strategy guide for christmas, and reading the guide there was a part listing possible scams people might try and pull, and lo and behold the "may I try on your armor scam" was listed. While I know there may have been many people who had done it, I like to think it was caused mainly by him.

Same thing happened to a good RL friend of mine. I met him through EQ and we lived in the same city so we started hanging out. Great guy, he was married to another EQ player, they had 2 kids, etc. One day she asked for a divorce out of the blue. She left him for another guy she met in game. Abandoned her kids, moved to California, the works. My buddy had to call her and basically beg her to speak to her own children and stay in their lives. What a piece of trash she was.

My friend eventually quit EQ when he realized what a destructive force it could be. He went out and found a good woman who had kids of her own who was in a similar situation to him. They got married and went on to live a happy life together as far as I know.
