Rogue armor
So I know there is a set of questable armor for just about every class, i.e. crafted for warriors, ivy etched for rangers, etc. Is there no questable set like this for rogues? Should I just hold out for ravenscale drops/mithril armor? Or can somebody suggest another idea for an intermediate set of rogue armor?

Ravenscale is our version of class armor, and no there isn't any quested armor for rogues. The RS set is pretty bad tbh, excluding the BP which is one of the nicer options for pre-planar armor. Gearwise, just grab what you can and replace it with hate gear asap.
Hero Bracers + Seb or Kylong Wrist Mith Arms / Legs RS BP or Brig Tunic or Tree Weave Dwarven Work Boots 5 55 rings 7str 7int neck Ravenscale Mask Exe Hood etc. Items I'd use to gear up a rogue. | ||

Wow this entire time I thought there was a Temple of Sol Ro armor quest for rogues. Guess I have been wrong.

I made it through to epic without a haste item, so I'd say it's totally doable (not exactly fun) to ignore haste and just focus on weapons. You need decent str to back up the weapons as well, so balance it the best you can. Hero Bracers are the nicest stat item for the money in game. CSS is the best midrange offhand and Seb Dirk will take you to end game if and when you can afford it.

I'm curious the Ravenscale Mask suggestion. Is that purely for see invis? I'd figure a 7STR Veil would better suit rogues for most any situation.

Plenty of good reasons! I play in 3rd person and so should everyone else, honestly. Not being able to see yourself in 3rd person is disorienting, so it's totally worth a statless slot to have see invis going all the time. Besides that, you can tell when invisible players are around you and can follow invisible people. Automatic is easier than Bracer of the Hidden's manual clicks. And the best reason, it's cheaper than a bracer and much cheaper than a Fingerbone Hoop.

Figured it was the 3rd person lack of see invis thing. I did notice that when I was playing around on my rogue.

hate not having see invis on my rogue, loved the ldon augments and could just throw a see invis on anything
