![]() Hey guys, I'm a level 11 Monk with a tough decision on what weapons to use (although its a nice problem because awesome people have given me these weapons)
Should I use my "Wu's Quivering Staff" (2H Blunt/ 23 DMG - 28 Delay - 9.0 Weight) OR Double "Cane of the Tranquil" (1H Blunt/ 11 DMG - 25 Delay - 2.5 Weight each) Dual wielding looks cooler, but how do they compare? What about after I get Double Attack at 15? Any help would be awesome! Thanks! | ||

![]() Thanks for the tips! Im assuming the Wu's Quivering Staff will only get better and hit harder after I get level 20 since the damage cap will lift?

So, adam club (15/25) /SoS (17/28) would be about 27/27 or (15+12)/27. I think this is close and compares favorably with a T staff, which I believe it should. Nice quick way to compare. EDIT: so I guess applying this would mean 2 canes would be like 19/25 (as opposed to the staff being 23/28). My vote is staff is better.

![]() however on the flip side, monks don't riposte at 11, i doubt he'll be fighting any mobs with a DS, and dmg bonus doesn't start really til later levels.

![]() Also melee damage is capped to 20 before level... 20. And in my experience melee dmg 1-19 looks something like weapon damage x2 (jade mace hits for 18 for example) // for max damage this is // So in this case the cane of harmony will have a max hit for 22, capped to 20 and a faster delay.. and since you don't have double attack yet it is absolutely better to dual wield until 20, then re-asses the situation. Following Clever's advice above. Also don't forget to keep your hand to hand reasonably level'd.. it's annoying but it's worth it.
