You clearly would need to merge Blue and Green in some way, though the more I think about this the less likely I think it will be. Unless you change the world count for certain items in the game (how do you compensate the person that loses theirs otherwise?).

Would there not be a game patch issue also? Would they properly merge or would this not cause a lot of errors.

Debugging this process would be a nightmare.

However; I do not wish for a new server unless you can merge Blue and Green, because three servers would ruin the population in all three I would think. Or one like Green might completely die out in comparison.

Would love a new server, just in the right way or not at all.

The fact there are still specific date-related changes being made in the most recent patch notes, even though both green and blue are far beyond those dates, definitely indicates they at least *intend* on another server.

The ones that are like "So and so will not spawn until the warrens patch" or whatever would indicate that.

With respect your post doesn't make sense. The servers have the same patches and code, there's no errors that would occur.

Not sure how someone would "lose theirs" with respect to items. Your characters merge over to the other server with all their items and platinum.

Not sure at all what you're concerned with here. Servers merge all the time, it's not hard.

Barring something unforseen, there will be a new server, and Blue and Green will merge. The staff have promised as much, and the staff has always lived up to their promises.

But at the same time ... the staff also claims to love classic EQ, and want to share it with the world ... but their actions say otherwise. They continue to make us suffer through servers with unclassically low population that get less and less classic by the day.

My theory is that they think we're a bunch of whiny complainers (and in their defense, look at this forum). They want to make us appreciate classic EQ, by denying it for years ... until they finally bring it back (in 2026?)

rogean owns eqemu they would look at the popularity of existing projects and plan accordingly

unlike TAKP who can see Quarm popping off and THJ utterly blowing everything out of the water and decide it's a good time to drop a TAKP TLP

The counter point to that is that it continues to show there are people who want a merge, want a new server, and are engaged with P99 rather than the other servers out there

P99's smart plan is to merge the servers when other projects die down and there aren't any new ones coming for awhile
