hey everyone, I'm thinking about starting up again. used to play a cleric / monk back in the day. just wondering what the activity is like on this? I'm mountain time, is it usually easy to find a group around then?
excited for the new Pantheon to come out, so figured this would hold me over until then. anyways. gonna start in on trying to get my computer set up. -Fievel (monk or cleric)

Monks and clerics both highly sought after on here. You will find that there is tons of monks, but that is of lower concern, then some other classes, as a group can have 2 monks without any problem in most places.
Pushing raid content in p99 comes down to how many clerics your guild can field, simple as that. If you want to raid, cleric / rogue are the best choice, as you cant have "too many" of either.

the server is old and most low level characters are huge twinks, making them more prone to solo, and going from 1 to 20 in very quick fashion.
your best bet to group at very low level is to focus on small duo/trio, and you might have to be proactive in making them. good areas might be south ro orcs, steamfont mountains (kobolds then mino caves), field of bones pit, qeynos hills and blackburrow, east commonlands orc1 and orc2 and greater faydrak / crushbone. once you reach level 19 or so, you will be able to go to popular grouping/levelling areas and find groups easily as a cleric [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (i.e. Unrest, Guk, Highkeep, Mistmoore, City of Mist, etc.) On a side note, <Auld Lang Syne> is a guild that completely refuses twinking and all members are "solo-self found" characters, that have to join the guild before level 15 (or maybe 10?). I'm not suggesting on joining them as you might actually want to buy things from the tunnel, etc. this belongs to you, but if you see <Auld Lang Syne> people around your level, know that they are not twinks, and probably seeking group partners like you do [You must be logged in to view images. There's a lot of leveling guilds out there. Look at the guild sub forum. Once you get past ten it should be a little easier finding groups.
Mountain time zone should be fine. That's when I play and plenty of people out there. I'll look you up in game. Definitely can get you some help, probably a a decent weapon that should help you get higher and some plat if you'd like. Plus some ranja buffs! Where are you leveling up at? Some areas can definitely be more quiet and harder to find groups at

hows it going now? are ya still at it?
I saw this one guy who came from live, lvl his cleric at a truly crazy rate. He managed to get from lvl 1-40 in 2 weeks without twink or pl. Of note is that the individual seems to have an above average ability to convince others to join him. (The combination of a good group and a long grind session can yield amazing results in the lower levels. For instance going lvl 25-34 in one day at HHK goblins vs 10 days of lfg in unrest for the same xp) If leveling speed is your goal, then heading to the proper zones and actively forming your own groups is the 2 biggest things you can do. As a low lvl cleric (sub CH), you will most likely need to do some convincing of ppl to invite you over shaman and druid, this issue is however off set mostly by the ease of grouping above lvl 40, where its best to have a cleric in each group.
