World of Warcraft/Battle.net Questions.

I was going to post this in the World of Warcraft forums, but I can't log into those and I figured the forums here have some tech. savvy users and some WoW users as well..

Heres a little background story of my problem, and what I think happened.

a year ago? maybe more or less.. I made a Battle.net account and I had forgotten to accept the confirmation of the account through my email address (as the email was still in bold when I checked the email as of today, 10/24/10).. .So with the battle.net account I thought I had just made. I started adding my games to the account with the game keys - Diablo 2, Starcraft and World of Warcraft and also merged my WoW account to the Battle.net account...and then I decided to take a break and stopped playing..

Now I've decided to start playing again..tried logging into the account, and it said it didn't exist. I'm guessing it was the issue with me forgetting to confirm that I had made the account in the first place..so tried doing an account recovery and that got me no where..

Made a new Battle.net account with the same email I made the first time..accepted the confirmation in my email and logged in to the battle.net account..When I tried to activate those same games with the same game keys..I kept getting these message,

"This World of Warcraft account has already been merged into a different Battle.net account."

"The authentication key you entered has already been claimed."

(Each authentication key can only be redeemed once. Please refer to your games section of the home page to review the keys attached to this Battle.net account. If you’re sure you have not previously claimed this key, please double-check the spelling and enter it now.)


Now what I think happened was..I made the account and forgot to confirm its existence..added the games keys and then because i forgot to accept the confirmation of the account after 7 days..the account got deleted? ..but I haven't a clue how to fix this problem...anyhow got any ideas? sorry for wall of text!!

Call tech support, you got hacked and they merged their email with your account. Explain the situation, but I doubt you'll see much of the gear you had due to the time.

yeah that may be a possibility..but then how come the rest of other games aren't adding..like Diablo or Starcraft? there no way somebody could have my game keys that are on the games boxes themselves.

I am guessing blizzard doesn't let you add the same CD key to multiple accounts which is why it is telling you you cant add it.

Well, you can try phoning/emailing them about the problem. Other than that you just got a lesson on why giving blizzard greater control over your keys is a bad idea.

For what its worth, I went through the same shit when I got hacked and they merged my account. The result was that I had to email/fax them proof that I was the accountholder (copy of an ID) and that I owned the games. The customer service was most helpful and after I gave them the necessary info, they fixed it in no time - including my gear. But I was pretty fast and gave them a good approx time of when it happened ..

same shit happend to me, got my account up 4 months ago, and easily attained good enough gear for a gear score of 6700, which is almost the best, had fun playing lich king becuase 2 or so years when it came out i never played it canceled my account and got it up 4 months and now cancelled it again, fun times but i doubt ill play catyclism

having enough fun spending 1-2 hours helping others lvl up on me shaman here, and really hoping kunark will be out due in 3 months

but i also had my account hacked, but some how on my old main guy a 70 hunter i had 100000 gold on him some how, only reason i got back on months and months ago was i got several emails of certain shit some chinese person mustve been doing on my account, like account activated, shady shit happening then account frozen, then i decided i wanted to see what the hell was going on, so i tried to get my account up but it was on suspention for several months, after 1 month i called tech support and got it back up and played a little bit

re did a hunter and crazy how fast you can now lvl a guy 1-60 in easily casually plaing 2-5 hours every day with new gear thing you can send to alts to twink, its ridiculous now, though they know how to milk there game to those who havent played a true mmo like everquest, ultima online, ac and others
