Game Mechanics: Silence and Procs

Currently silence AEs like Mesmerizing Breath (and Cloud of Silence in Velious) still allow weapons to proc. Others are claiming that these silence effects would prevent weapons from proccing on EQMac and presumably classic in general.

I didn't play a melee in classic and I didn't play EQMac but this seems like an important thing to get right, especially since silence AEs become more prevalent in Velious (currently just Xygoz has one). Thoughts from others?

Yea confirmed, Silence prevented procs on EQMac.

This was removed later on on Live, I *believe* it was always in before it was removed though.

Anecdotal but I recall many times having procs suppressed by silence spells.

i cant proc at all when silenced and i never knew that your weapons needed to talk to be able to proc

You can't cast anything while silenced, use AA abilities that are spells, proc weapons etc.
