Team PVP

Absolutely love this idea, people have been telling me there will be a new sever featuring Team PVP, and this comes with a merge. I have not been able to find the info on this. Anyone have a link?

Team PVP offers a lot to people, although I love FFA pvp Team offers that security blanket people want, while keeping PVP alive.

Well at least I for one love the idea of Team PVP.

I doubt they'll be a merge for a while. And I doubt they'll be a team PVP server for awhile. Add the two together you're looking at a couple years probably before it happens. They would at LEAST wait until the server progression matches up, and I doubt they'll do a new server without a progression timeline similar to live.

That being said I haven't followed the chat logs and stuff so maybe that isn't the case.

1) Devs have stated that the two red servers will in fact merge at one point.
2) Ruleset isn't set/decided yet. The generally agreed ruleset would be a 3 team ruleset, such as Sullon Zek, evil/neutral/good (diety based.)
3) Pure speculation here, but I'd guess server would release 6 months prior to a velious launch... Meaning the earliest we can look at (if velious releases in a year,) would be a teams server in 6 months. The reason behind this is that 6 months will give players ample time to defeat classic and basic kunark content without getting burned out. When the 6 months ends and you merge the servers, there is a much larger common ground between those in basic kunark/classic gear to those on Red99 with VP gear. Also, you can farm velious with kunark gear to get velious gear that is much closer to VP stats.
4) Server seems to be picking up on Red99 so I'm glad to see you starting up, but you honestly won't see a large batch of population until Teams release. To even compete with the top guilds you're going to have to either: 1) Join Nihilum and stay or 2) Join Nihilum, get gear, and start your own guild (Azrael, Heresy etc.) Myself, along with I'd assume are hundreds of others, are waiting for Teams release to start up to be on an even playing field.
