anyone familiar with this software?
is it stable?
if i install will i be able to find drivers that work?
do windows applications work as intended?

i really enjoy making music on my windows xp system and after searching reddit for "open source windows xp" i found this result and i am interested. pros/cons?

As it runs completely 'from scratch', you'd have to write a program like Wine to be able to use Windows apps on it.

This is the primary reason why Microsoft has a monopoly btw.

DO you think they they wrote this piece of software, just beacuse they are in love witht he look of windows xp?

In reality P99 would probably crash alot on it....could be something to follow tho.

could maybe run it in a VM with p99 in startup folder. that would fix linux/mac issues i think.

ReactOS generally supports things about as well as Wine. Most software will run to some degree, but only a few run perfectly.

If you are just looking for an alternative OS that can the occasional windows software you might better served with a Linux distribution and Wine. Just don't expect ReactOS or Wine to run all your stuff perfectly.
