update so i got everquest to load but it was loading the game not project 1999 so i did this part .....

Step 4 - EQHost File
In order for your client to connect to the EQEmulator Login Server (and not SOE's EQLive Login Server), you will need to change your eqhost.txt file to point at the correct location. Go into your EverQuest directory and locate the eqhost.txt file. Replace the contents of the file with the following (Remove any trailing spaces):

Titanium or Secrets of Faydwer:
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

then i did this part Step 5 -

Creating Shortcut
Now, you will need to create a shortcut to launch EverQuest and bypass the EQLive patcher (if this step is not taken, you will launch the patcher and overwrite the EQHost.txt file that you just modified, making you connect to the global EQLive Login Server). To do this, go into your EverQuest directory. Locate the EQGAME.EXE file. Right-click on the file and select "Create Shortcut." You can rename this shortcut and drag it anywhere you'd like (most people like to put it on their desktop). Now, right-click that shortcut and select Properties. In the target box, you will see the path to the eqgame.exe file. We need to edit this so that it will pass an argument to that executable when the shortcut is launched. At the end of the text box (after any parentheses), add "patchme" (no quotes). Your target box should look similar to this:

"C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme ..............but when i typed this in where it supposed it go it says........ the name c:/program specified in the target box is not valid make sure the path and file name are correct

then when i go click on the shortcut it says ........the program cant start becuz mss32.dll is missing on your computer???????

I find it much easier to install Everquest to a one word named folder in the C drive as opposed to Program Files where it defaults to. I would suggest making a new folder called Titanium or something, copying the contents of your EQ directory to that folder, then creating a new shortcut and adding patchme to the end without quotes.

For example:

Quote:
C:\Titanium\eqgame.exe patchme

Stupid question but, you made sure Titanium was actually the name of the folder, correct? and no quotes anywhere?

The whole idea of Danyelles suggestion, was to have you make a folder without spaces in the name, as this sometimes causes confusion / problems for some ppl.

Try it! 8[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

ie rename your folder to titanium, and provided its in the root of your C drive, your shortcut should be fine mate.

He was PMing me last night about it and I was trying to help him with it. But he eventually just disappeared. I'm assuming he either got it working or gave up.

If you happen to read this OP, If you still need help let me know.
