![]() You can check the Rant thread out for more detail.
This is just the information thread. Your pet, WILL ,break mez if it attacks a mezzed target. And it will repeatedly break mez if the caster has to recast and the pet is still trying to attack a target. Please be courteous and let either the tank, or the mezzer break the mez. Do not depend on non-existent game mechanics stopping your pet from breaking it. Your pet will get the mezzer killed.

![]() Pets not breaking mez did not come out until sometime after Luclin was released.
Working as intended. Enjoy. Haynar

![]() Yes I agree its working as intended. But people don't seem to understand the way it works. Why I am trying to get the word out. That pets do break mez. That is the way it was in classic. And people need to stop depending on a Non-existing game mechanic, (i.e. Pets stopping auto-attacking when a target is mezzed) to control their pets.
It is the way classic was, there is no fix necessary, other than players fixing their play style.

![]() Chanters likewise need to know their class and not keep trying to mezz targets that are already being handled.
That's the other side of the coin.

![]() Problem: Pets breaking mezz?
Solution: If adds keep hittin back off, Onced mezzed hit assist button, pet attack. If u dont back pet off even when the first mob is dead your pet will then go at mob to break mez. What is the problem?

![]() If you see a pet on a mob, the smart thing to do is to root it, not mez it.

![]() This is unclear.
Pets will break mez if: You set it to attack, and it is then mezzed. The mob AEs - or otherwise attacks the pet - it and then its target is killed without the controller backing it to clear its aggro.* Pets will not: Be commanded to attack a mezzed mob. Long story short, watch AE casters, obviously don't screw with a mob in the brief moment a poorly played enchanter or bard drops a mez, and JFSJLFKSD use assist if you're silly enough to group as a pet class. Key mechanic - your pet is an npc with an aggro list that you can clear by hitting back. *This is where most of the rage comes from. Fun fact - this thread pops up every couple weeks.
