Default Thankyou P99

Just wanted to say thankyou to the Project 99 staff for bringing back my favorite era of EQ. I just started playing EQ a few days ago, my only regret is I wish I discovered this years ago! I have been searching for the next MMO since I quit EQ shortly after the PoP expansion with nothing but disappointment after disappointment. Turns out P99 was the answer. I brought my son into this game with me. When I first started EQ he was 1 years old, now his is 16!

Do you think there will ever be a time especially since EQ is free to play that access to the software will be more easily available? It was not easy to find a titanium copy of this game. I know alot of people that would love to play EQ again I talked to in other MMO's but the EQ titanium prices are way to high or hard to find for the average player.

Community has been great in game, even a few people randomly stop by and gave me some plat, never asked for anything. Speaking of plat, wow on the cost of goods at the tunnel! lol

Welcome!

Regarding Titanium, something to consider:

"The Titanium client is available free for download on multiple sites across the web."

And yeah, I rarely see anything in EC that I can afford. I started a druid so I could farm my own stuff a bit easier. And now I'm thinking I'll even make a different paladin! Regardless of my gear or high prices, though, it's a fun time. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Well yeah, it's a lot of raid gear and stuff. People that raid a lot have little to do but to stand around at EC selling while they wait for the next raid. Low level gear is hit and miss, but if you hang around a couple days you can usually find some gear. People selling that stuff are usually out leveling etc, then it goes fast if it's going at an average price compared to the wiki item prices.

If you are like in gfay or such starting zones, sometimes people auction starting gear. You could also ask around in those zones for a crafter to help you make basic starting equipment for your first character, maybe look at the wiki for recipes and gather the components yourself (a bit of work). You know like materials for studded leather and such, to fill in what's missing etc. Though you can also craft your own starting equipment, little more work, but very basic stuff has a low trivial rate.

Thats basically what I did Koollayd, alot of people get a little nervous going that route. I just wonder If there will ever be a time that new players could actually download the client straightup from P99 one day. I think it would increase player base. Although it appears pretty healthy from the zones I been in.
