the dispute is over haste stacking. my argument is that the information on the wiki's haste guide is correct.
The four types of haste 1. Permanent item haste: haste effect listed on an item you wear. 2. Spell/song/clickie haste: haste effects gained from nearly all spells, bard songs, or click-able items. 3. v2 haste: Ervaj line of bard songs grant v2 haste. This is not "overhaste" and will not allow you to exceed the haste cap. 4. Overhaste (v3 haste): These effects allow you to exceed the haste cap, but no such effects existed before the "Shadows of Luclin" expansion was released. Rules Haste effects of the same type will not stack. Haste effects of different types will stack. Going by this information its my understanding that as of now on p99 bard song haste does not stack with sham spell haste. Am I wrong?

As always, bard v1 haste does not stack with any other v1 haste (chanter, shaman)

The haste doesn't stack but you'll still get the stats/DS from the Bard songs.

The additional effects (str, ac, agi, etc.) still apply, but the haste component does not stack. Whichever spell/song provides the best haste wins.

I believe this is correct. Item based haste will always use the highest value (CoF & RBB equipped? You'll get the 36% from CoF only.
Bard songs are the same type of haste as shaman/enchanter hastes until the Erjav line with Velious. If you wish to test it, get your hands on something REALLY slow. Like a http://wiki.project1999.com/Weighted_Axe Hit a few times with no haste. Log it. (/duel works really well for this) Hit a few times with just Quickness from a lvl 20+ enchanter/shaman. Log it. Hit a few times with just Verses of victory from a 50+ bard (should be same haste % as quickness). log it. Hit a few times with both Quickness and Verses of Victory. Log it. Should get the same delay between swings for each of the hasted tries. Use a level 1 to do the swinging so double attack doesnt screw with your numbers. If you want, you can also do it with items (equip a FBSS only. Then a CoF only. then CoF + FBSS).

Melody/Composition of Ervaj (level 50/60 Bard Songs which are post-Kunark) do stack with spell haste. Other bard haste songs do not. This is my understanding.
