Account Banned?

Hi, Me my wife and my roommate all played here back in 2014, but we stopped playing as real life happened. One of my accounts Egerha8815k is banned on the server for some reason, and on top of all that, our characters on all 3 accounts are gone. They were not too high level, maybe level 12 or 13, but my warrior had a full set of Crafted armor, and my wife had a Ghoulbane on her paladin. Were accounts deleted since 4 years ago? Also, why would one of my 3 accounts be banned?

As for reasons you could have been banned, the most likely reasons are...

RMT - buying/selling goods with irl cash
2boxing - one person playing multiple accounts.

Odds are its the second imho because ive heard stories of ppl boxing their wife or kids character for a "quick transfer" and got caught. Not saying you did or didnt 2box but it seems like based on multiple IP exemptions id guess its along those lines.

Thank You, is there a way to fix this? I remember the IP issue at the time, so we all used hot spots so we would not violate the IP rules or multi-boxing rules, and we also submitted an exemption request at that time too but never heard back. Would a GM see this post and take a look?

What's the point of putting an IP exemption in if you're going to try and "play around" the reason that you have to put one in?

I don't know what happened to those accounts but you're playing with fire using hotspots on 3 accounts...should have just waited it out. If there was an occasion where the 3rd person couldn't play I'm willing to bet one of the two active players logged the third account in to buff or something and logged it back out.

I completely disagree with this. If you’re not cheating (controlling multiple characters with one person), why would it matter if you’re using a vpn or hotspot to play? Boxing punishment is first a suspension and always prefaced with a boxing test. No way he would still be banned if it was boxing related and first offense.

Playing with fire lmao. I love the concerned citizen act. There's absolutely no way this guy got banned for connecting via a hotspot or a VPN. If he got banned for boxing, he got caught boxing.

No IP exemption
3 accounts playing at once

You know you're getting watched if you're in a populated area, and people will report anything that looks out of place (2 characters autofollowing, 1 character moving at once).

I'd chalk it up to a lapse of judgement at some point during these 3 accounts' careers where at some point someone has logged one of the extra accounts in to buff, port, do something that "seems innocent"...

There have been many people in history who wanted to ensure they would be lawful in their killing of someone by ensuring that they don't directly murder the person, and instead ensure that the person dies on an unrelated "accident". Also, what about characters? Was there a character deletion since 2014? We had 3 level 14 or 15 characters with gear.

There's been a few RMT banwaves since 2014, and completely innocent people have got caught in it. Accounts were banned but can be reinstated after a hands-on check, if innocence can be ascertained.
