Green 1.0 launch showed anyone paying attention that even die-hard blue raiders will semi-retire or perma retire old characters to re-live the nostalgia of a fresh server.

...Being able to easily and legally play on diff p99 servers similtaneously makes playing on a fresh start even more attractive to heavily immersed blue99 and green99 players.
Alot of people could be initially upset with a green/blue merge but most would likely play on a brand new server anyways if it was available before or around the same time as a green/blue merge? The alternative of perma splitting the PvE population 3 ways(Sorry Red99 some of us love you but we all know most EQers prefer the bluebie experience) by letting Green1.0 live on in perpetuity seems even sketchier to me but maybe that's just me?
