The biggest revamp I think you could argue was actually 'needed' was Freeport, because an entire expansion was centered around it. They just did an absolutely awful job of it.
Most of the revamps just seem like bad attempts to modernize old zones. Misty Thicket, Innothule Swamp, Commonlands, Ro/Oasis etc.
