Dev 1: Let's make it so that all new players that join the server have a permanent disadvantage.
Dev 2: Won't that stop new players from joining our MMO and make us look stupid and mean?
Dev 1: Yes but it means that some players will have a permanent advantage so to them we will look like heroes AND we will have a permanent advantage too.
Dev 2: But what happens when players get bored and there's no new players coming in? Won't the server die making us unemployed?
Dev 1: We're here for a good time not a long time!
Dev 2: Can't we be here for a good time and a long time?
Dev 1: No because life is not meant to make sense.
Dev 2: Oh yeah I keep forgetting that rule you made up.
Dev 1: I'm going to a public charity event now so talk to you later.
Dev 2: What charity event?
