sidewinder is kinda like saying boeing 747, there's 100 generations of them, early models were actually pretty bad. during the vietnam war one of them failed to detonate and impaled a MiG intact like a dart, so after that the jig was up bc the soviets got the tech that way.
AIM-9X is all the rage now
a cursory search didn't turn up info on canada's F/A-18 full armament, also its canada so i don't care too much
