I was just watching a documentary about Nigeria and it included some fighting pits with gladiator type fights, and they mentioned that years ago fighters would smash bottles and then glue the glass to rope gloves before fights
Figures only in Nigeria. Also figures why we have THREE Nigerian-ancestor champions in UFC currently (Israel, Francis, and Kumaru), and I believe Jon Jones, a former champion, has Nigerian ancestry as well
