the fact there hasn't been another Waco type siege or OKC bombing so far really throws a wrench in my whole worldview and mental model of reality. either the FBI all of a sudden got way better at their job or American extremist have become demoralized and resigned to their fate.

Feds learned their lesson. both Waco and OKC were responses to the Ruby Ridge incident
Feds just took a lighter touch, and shifted to oppress w/ data collection and more clandestine operations.
