I always found that kind of reasoning stupid. Im not getting on the verbal diahrrea debate here which im sure exists.
My grudge is this typically american way of looking at things, which is fortunatly not shared by all americans. It goes like this: Little Jimmy plays a game where he has to violently kill 50,000 human looking characters to advance in levels. Parents / rating agency are fine with this. Then some foul, dangerous to children monster types "fuck" in a chat channel that Little Jimmy can see. Obviously this will mentally scar Little Jimmy forever and something must be done about this foul person.
happened to me on a counter strike server, where i couldnt say fuck cuz that was bothering little jimmy and his headshotting skills. I was told this was a christian server and i couldnt say fuck on voice. I lol'd thinking it was a joke, and at the next fuck i was banned from server.
