I play every class in this game and I can tell you it is NOT hard to get into the rut as a Mage to JUST send in your pet. It sort of goes with the class in a group after awhile. By the time the mob gets down below 80% and you cast your Nuke the mob is either dead or nearly. So it seems sort of useless to cast it.
