This here is everything, in my opinion, that is horrible about Xbox One:
The console must connect to the internet once every 24 hours in order for you to play games. This is self explanatory and dumb. You can't even play single player games if it's not connected to the internet. Thanks for watching everything I do, Big Brother. Additionally, you cannot use your Xbox if the Kinect is not plugged in. Xbox will literally be watching you while you use their device. Microsoft also just patented an idea for software which would use the Kinect to determine how many persons are "using" the device and block content, or even charge extra for content, if more than the allotted persons are "consuming" their product. Shady... and horribly creepy.
The Xbox One will only allow the sale of used games at "participating retailers", but only if the publisher allows it. Truly what this means is when you buy a game for Xbox you don't actually own it. you are Licensed for the use of said game. Any game you purchase will not be your property, which is horse shit. Greedy ass publishers and Microsoft are putting this in place to make it so they are constantly milking a person's wallet to play games - even if you buy it used. Did I also mention that there are restrictions on how you can "give" and "loan" your games away. What's more, lending won't be available at launch, with Microsoft still "exploring the possibilities with our partners". You can only lend games through some asinine procedure they put in place. You won't be able to just hand someone a disc to play it, or borrow it. Again, they want your goddamn money.
I won't be buying another Xbox. I'm also pretty miffed at Microsoft about all this too.
