Removing xp loss was a mistake that could've been avoided by instead removing the unnecessary double penalty of not allowing PvP corpses to be eligible for resurrection under the same rules as PvE ones.
Rez effects would've served as a sufficient speedbump to slow bindrushing while the 3-hour timer would've afforded those defeated the same recovery window as that of a PvE death.
And to top it off, the penalty most in line with the game's design (you die in EQ, you lose experience) could've been retained without the perception that it was too harsh.
Oh well.

Depleted bars is enough to me. I would maybe agree with a custom 5-8min pvp death debuffer
