These stories are all terribly sad.
Zimmerman should have been minding his own business, Martin should have known better than to start a fight over it, and Zimmerman shouldn't have fired any shots during a petty scuffle. It's like we're completely uncivilized, and feel a need to approach one another with distrust and escalating violence instead of understanding and compassion.
The media and the lawmakers are shameful in their reactions.
