If i starting making fun of someone who says his sister is dead, and everybody joins in, wether the sister is dead or not doesnt really change much.
I wheeled my dad around for months in a wheelchair when he had cancer last year before he died, so it rings a particularly nasty bell with me

This is the internet though, and almost no one can say "it's not okay to say that!" because we've all laughed at some pretty sad stuff. I spent a few years working with people that have mental disabilities, and it bothers me even when people use the word "retard" as an insult, but there's no pretending that I'm somehow better than everyone for it.
