I really have a bunch of friends in TMO I guess you could say. My beef isn't with TMO collectively so much as with the people in charge, I guess? I mean someones calling the shots, deciding to cockblock the rest of the server out of content until its 2 years old, selling the surplus lots, all ghe while cheating,exploiting, rule lawyering, and training their way to "victory."
If TMO even attempted to play nice with anyone who isn't willing to pay them for loot, there wouldn't be any issues really. Again, there really isn't anything TMO can do to me personally anymore as I've already reached a point where I no longer care about what gear I get or what mobs I get to attempt. Its just gotten to the point where I really just want to see their guild treated fairly by the server staff, in terms of their dirty tactics. If not then I would like to see a player alliance across all non-tmo guilds to make TMO sweat a little more.
I played on live, I remember what it was like back then. Obviously every server was different but until velious there was really a lot of friendly relations between the top guilds. We always let the firat guild with a force in zone attempt the mobs without interfering, and there were never trains in VP, even though it was a non-csr zone. It wasn't until stasis/poison dart frogs came alongthat prexus became a shitty place to play in.a raiding guild.
TmO has created a similar, yet worse atmosphere here. There is literally pure animosity between TMO and FE, and for what? TmO by their own admission doesn't need loot anymore as they are all mostly gearing up 3rd and 4th toons, why do they continually abuse the other 90% of p99 players? Why can't people who actually need gear for their first and only toon get a shot at killing mobs without having to pay TMO? I mean should every guild have to put in the insane amount of time that TMO does to wven deserve a shot at experiencing content?
TMO may be on top, but they are the worst thing for p99. There are tons of players who deserve loot more than lvl 40 alts, but since TMO feels otherwise the rest of us are shit out of luck. I only wish the cheating, lying, hacking scum that calls TMO their home were punished accordingly.
Its also a shame that the cool people in TMO are used up and burnt out by the greed of TMO's plat overlords. I have had many friends lured into tmo with the promise of uber lewts, which they may or may not have received for their contributions, only to quit under the stress that comes with cockblocking everyone else out of enjoying the server.
