i work full time, have a kid, and woman is finishing nursing school (graduates tomorrow and i can almost smell the green back!) and i barely have time for EVE which requires no grinding. so trust me i know where you are coming from but goddamn this is the most boring ruleset possible for everquest pvp. at least item loot is something different altho id rather have teams.

Why not have both? As much as I dislike the Sullon Zek Teams... if you did the following changes it would be pretty awesome...
Just allow some expansion of all classes through Diety changes for all teams..
Item Loot,
FV style gear with almost nothing no drop...
That would be a very interesting and Vibrant server...
