Bum, every interaction I've had with you and everything I've heard leads me to believe that you're a good guy and a competent guild leader. That being said, I find it hard to believe you don't know about at least a few minor violations of server policy within your guild when even I do.

Now before you get offended - there isn't a guild on this server that doesn't have a member or two break a rule from time to time. I know if members of DA, IB, WI, hell, even Remedy that have broken rules (not Divinity just because I don't think I've ever had more than a few words in passing with anyone from that guild - but I'd be willing to be it even happens within their ranks). Guilds are going to have members who do dumb stuff - to pretend that it doesn't happen is silly and to claim you don't know about it means you're either blind, incompentent or a liar.

What is important is that it is handled. I'm not saying that every member that breaks a rule needs to get reported and banned - I think that is silly as well. But it is just as much the job of the players to police their own as it is of the GM's to enforce the server rules. I think every GM here would agree that if a minor server violation can be handled in house and reduce their work load, that it is perfectly acceptable to do so.

It's just like in real life, if a kid shop lifts or your buddy gets drunk and decides to knock over a park bench or something - you don't call the cops, but you let them know that they're dumb and that their behavior is unacceptable.

Basically I think you run a tight ship, and I don't agree with people coming here and calling you out over some random member as opposed to handling stuff in game - I guess this isn't even directed towards you all that much even, it's more just a rant about how no guild is comprised of 100% upstanding rule abiding members - it's just the way things work. For people to pretend that their guild is this spotless shining beacon of honesty and fair play while calling someone else out is just ridiculous.

Ok, it's really hot in this classroom and I can't remember where I was going with this so done~
