I already solved the raiding situation but Rogean hasn't implemented it yet.
Basically, you remove spawn variance and replace the raid mobs with npcs that minimize EQ and log you and 4 members of your guild into a Quake 3 Team Deathmatch. The first team to reach 20 frags gets the spawn for their guild while the losing team is banished outside.
Sure, people will cry that this isn't classic, but I would remind them that Quake 3 fits the classic timeline.
