Other bard v bard fights I have watched were insanely boring and usually ended up in stalemates/boredom and even once they stopped attacking each other entirely and just sat and talked.

From OP:
In the event that the combat should exceed 15 minutes of real time, then the Event Staff reserves the right cast an AoE Snare spell on the contestants, and the contestants are to remain snared till end of match. (if a match if almost clearly over, then it should be allowed to finish naturally).
