Since accounts currently cant be locked down to stop trades, are we just banning people for the hell of it now and claiming RMT ? How is someone supposed to know if the items they are buying with hard earned plat, are from "Platlord" ?
So im in the market for a pair of mithril greaves. Someone says they have a pair for sale and I buy them. It ends up being Platlord and now Im banned? Or did he actually get caught red handed trading RL money for those items ?
If an account if purchased with hard earned money from now on, is it just going to be deemed RMT and banned ?

The methods that our volunteer GM's use in hunting down RMTers is none of our concern. They seem more then willing to investigate bans and fix it if it was wrong. And no if you sold an item for plat to a platlord account you wont be banned. If platlord just gave you an item with nothing in return, or /splits money with you, then yes you probably will be.
As for accounts, buy them at your own risk as they may have been flagged for MQ or had RMT transactions in the past.
