Also, I never used weapons (just my fists) unless the weapons were VERY light weight (with my monk on live). I guess the damage from the EBM is worth it? I was poor for a LONG time. All of my items / weapons were ones I got myself in groups. I eventually could afford to buy a few nicer upgrades but this was into Luclin times. I made a killing going to the Grimling Forest, collecting Acrylia and selling. This was a HUGE source of money and I could finally get some nice stuff for my monk. :-)
So, I guess you need to decide if the heavier stuff which you are wearing / using / carrying is worth it. You are supposed to be a monk who is above such worldly possessions.
