This server is actually putting a system in place that is going to let you earn ranks the way you did in Vanilla during TBC. It won't effect anything other than the title you earn (unless you do reach r14 and buy that gear for cosmetic looks), but it is nice that they compromised that negative part of TBC to some extent.

That's a draw to me, I was a Warlord on my server...didn't want to put another 3-4 weeks getting High Warlord so had to be content with the armor set and no tasty weapon

The old ladder system certainly rewarded time investment over skill however, but as a shaman it wasn't too hard (in a knowledgable team) to carry at least 1 of the 3 flags to ultimate victory each game in WSG

Interested to see if they'll patch the boots that gave shamans/druids +40% movement speed for that purpose while in wolf/cheetah form.
