Best custom EQ server on live was the Mayong 51/50 server (with hotzones in PoP and places).
Everyone's new character started at L51, with 50 AAs and obviously with "Live" rules I think characters went up to 85 at the time.
If there's potential for any custom server I'd love to see that again
