If you have an accomplice, you could start by thinking of a non-google-able riddle that gives some kind of clue as to where your accomplice is hiding (in an adjacent zone or something), and who it is. Then the accomplice gives those who are able to find him another riddle, or a task or something. Which could either lead to a third accomplice nearby or the reward itself.

I think it would be a little less likely to be griefed if the trolls have to carry their attention spans all the way to the next zone, and they would have to expend at least some effort to figure out which nearby zone it is. A mobile event also has the benefit of lacking a large, stationary audience for the "lals so funnay trolez XDDDD"

Ideally you would need to actually solve the riddle to find the accomplice, which would negate the advantages of porters, trackers, trolls, and super-fast bards. Maybe you need to say something to him to get him to give you the next riddle.

But no matter what you do it's difficult to run an event without the ability to death touch, I think.
