Maybe he just took an Introduction to Philosophy 101 class at community college (paid for by the Navy), learned about Descarte, and thinks anything beyond "I think, therefore I am" is unprovable.
He then posts on internet forums asking for proof thinking full well that proving anything other than an individuals own cognitive existence is technically impossible.
