That was half of her problem.. she was a lonely attention whore. She was talking to tons of people daily and telling them all sorts of shit. She was pretty much running her mouth on GM issues, her personal character, cross-guild drama, and anything else to pretty much anyone that would listen.
A bunch of us were purposefuly playing her in order to get what we wanted, and it worked marvelously.. it's no surprise at all that she was found to be "corrupt" based on the way she would help her friends out. We used to actually regularly have tells to one another to see how far we could push her and have her help us.
Don't take this the wrong way, because I liked Amelinda, a lot, she was a nice person and always wanted to help the community, unfortunately I just don't think she was cut out to be a GM due to these facts, because everyone was always playing her all of the time.
It's those same traits that made her so likeable by so many people that ended up not only being her downfall, but also why she should have never been put in the position she was in the first place. You've got to be Uthgaard style tough as nails to deal with the psychopaths that play on this box to properly deal with them.. too bad he was crazy and thought he was the batman of P99
