Damn near EVERY able bodied Woodbury resident went on the raid, as is evidenced by them bringing back a bunch of children and old people. Maybe a dozen, if that many, of the more soldierly types have been killed in the last few episodes. Do you think the entire active armed segment of Woodbury was a dozen people?
These are the people who have been guarding the walls against walkers. These are the people who were there when the prison group infiltrated and there was a firefight. These are the people who have dealt with multiple walker break ins. These are the people who have gone out on missions, captured people, eliminated potential threats. These are people who, at this point, ARE trained to pull the trigger to eliminate a threat. And yet every single one turns around and waits to get shot in the back.
To try and paint it as something other than utterly ricockulous is absurd.
