Their children have been completely indoctrinated. They have a significant standing army, and an outdated but functional missle/air support defense system. I'm not sure on the exact numbers but iraq had the 3rd largest army in the world prior to the 90s, so much for that.
North koreans won't back a government that can't feed their children or keep foriegn countries from entering their country and killing their dear leader.
I really think you're right about the sabre rattling, until they are a real threat, and then the world shows them what real military force is compared to their world war 2 era military/technology. Our bombers and gunships will black out the sun and shake their nation to its rotten core, lol.
But seriously americans all talk about government spending and fiscal responsibility, they should see how much money we pay other countries not to fight eachother.
