So I can get to the server select screen, choose p99 and go to char creation. There it says my spell files are out of date.

So I download and install V.27 and I put it in the correct EQ folder.

I have mine at C:\Everquest. It is not in program files.

Now when I try to start up EQ again nothing happens. Yes I am running it as admin.

I am using XP and I am not able to dl the Service Packs.

Any thoughts or tricks to get this to work again? My original pc died and I have to use my older one for the time being.
