If you roll Neutral/Evil Erudite don't immediately run to QHills! Stay and hunt Kobolds for their 'Useless Cloth Cap'. Turn them in at the skeletons guarding Paineel and rake in the cash. Aside from decent exp return you get a gem for each turn in, quick easy plat (have been getting all sorts of gems, some worth 12pp+). You can use this method to get up to 6-7 quickly and have plenty of plat for spells.
