Note that the people he's killing (some at least) have Velious raid gear and primals. Wizard provides pet cc, guaranteed 2 slot dispel (annul), defensive shadow step, and of course even in light of all the new Velious weapons, you just can't knock the old #1... the terminator... lure of ice in a classic resist system.

I'd say the same in my experience as a Velious wizard. Not to mention ISOS (ice spear of solist) was a vicious and sudden curtain call (see his Yazzt kill).

Rogue, druid, warrior, monk and mage here are scoring kills and appear to be strong as well in the hands of skilled players. Not even going to bring up bards, clerics... every fucking class can be good, some stronger situationally (depending) than others.

If you're catching my drift... I'm not scared of being a caster or any other class whatsoever if classic resists and item loot are (and should be) added here.

Right now? Lol @ many. And the xp grief system is a great way to hurt population numbers and people's desire to log in and play (pvp!).
Well I'm not sure of your play time but I'm assuming you would be one of the players to benefit from gear being more important. I don't think skill is as big of a factor in EQ as many claim. I think the old resist system helps those that invest more time in this game no matter what class you are. Every game should have this, reward from time invested, but the current system already has that and it doesn't need a larger gap.

In a game where spells take 3-7 seconds to cast skill isn't what it takes. It just takes effort and one guy in a group who is willing to put the time in to be organized and shouting out commands. The tedious act of having the right potions/clickies on you, buffing yourself in the correct order and being patient gets confused with skill in this game.
