Yeah... rolling with a group with a years worth of raiding gear and classic resist system would really show your skill in PvP... Maybe back in 1999 when there was a real population and more than 1 group that was dedicated to raiding.

If anything the resist system currently on the server is an even playing field for those not fully geared out. Your gear helps you with PvE. In PvP everyone has a fair shot. It's the reason Nihilum members are able to be killed even though they have superior gear. On live the gear difference would be like god mode.

Are you really that upset that sunstrike is hitting you for 250 hps when it cost 450 mana and takes 7 seconds to cast (1.5 second recast)? With your hps how many seconds and how much mana does it take to down your warrior?

Everquest is a lot of fun for many reasons but the thing that sucks about it is how much gear matters. It is fun for those with unlimited free time and a thirst for endless PvE but that system lacks for the skilled player with limited time to invest. It is probably one of the games that requires the least amount of skill to be dominate.

You can say all you want about needing resists to be classic but I guarantee there is more skill needed with this system then the "anti pk" guilds displayed back on live.
